Installation Constraints

No specific positioning requirements need to be fulfilled to enable proper functioning of AI-Heat. Nonetheless, it is advisable to use cameras with a wide field of view (e.g.: fish-eye)so to get a comprehensive heatmap of the framed scene.

Heatmap sensor configuration

Heat Map

In the drop-down menu on the left, by selecting "Algorithm Parameters" and then “Heat Map” you can add, remove and edit heatmap areas.
By ticking the checkbox “Enable Heat Map” you can set the following parameters:

  1. Heating Time (s): amount of time in seconds for an area with moving objects inside to be considered an hotspot within the heatmap.
  2. Time Interval (min): the time interval in minutes between the generation of an heatmap and the following one.
  3. Tau Cooling (s): amount of time in seconds for an area without moving objects to be considered a dead zone within the heatmap.
